About Kandersteg


The Chief Scout of Switzerland wrote to Baden-Powell telling him of this magical place he had found, inviting him for a visit which happened in 1922. In February 1923 the "Scouts International Home" Association was set up. As such the permanent Jamboree has been operating since!

What activities?


This will be led by you and chosen as a unit! There is to many to list here! Check out www.kisc.ch/programme/summer to see what you’ll have to choose from!

When?


You will join a unit of 40 other young people from across the county and join an expedition on either 5th-15th August or 14th- 25th August 2019.

There will also be three training camps scheduled for around October 18, February 19 and May 19..

Fee


The all-inclusive fee to attend is £995, this is a maximum fee and should significant savings on the budget be made the final instalments will be reviewed as there is greater certainty.

The Fee Includes:

  • Three Activity Training Weekends
  • All Inclusive, Food, Travel, Accommodation, Activities and Insurance
  • Event Gear (Neckerchief- 2 Event Badges, Shirt, Hoodie and Unit Badges)

The fee does not include: Personal equipment & pocket money.

Financial circumstance should not be a barrier to attendance please contact us if this causes challenges.

We require a deposit of £145 applications are open until 1st March however this will be first come first served so to avoid disappointment we advise to do this ASAP. If a place is secured deposits are non-refundable. Subsequent payments will be subject to review of purchases made to that point.
